About Terry Chucas

Terry Chucas, an attorney with more than 15 years of experience, represents children and their parents before the Dependency Court of Appeals in San Diego, California. In addition, he sits on the Dependency Appellate Panel for both the Second District Court of Appeal in Los Angeles and the Fourth District Court of Appeal in San Diego. In the past, Terry Chucas worked for the Superior Court of San Diego, which appointed him to represent children impacted by difficult divorce cases. In recognition of his accomplishments, the San Diego Daily Transcript named him Family Lawyer of the Year in 2005.

Before becoming a lawyer, Terry Chucas served as a midshipman in the Royal Canadian Navy. He was later promoted to commissioned officer. Once finished with his national service, he became an insurance agent with State Farm in San Diego.

When not assisting his clients, Mr. Chucas stays culturally active by attending Broadway musicals and reading classic literature by authors like Mark Twain. For entertainment, he also attends San Diego Padres baseball games.
